Meet the 2022-2023 Board

Our board is made up of parent volunteers from our McGowen community. We work closely with the McGowen teachers and staff to make sure we are meeting the needs of the students, parents and staff.

President - Pilar Schaefer

Coordinates the work of others, chairpersons and committees in order that the purpose of PTA may be promoted. Presides at general and board meetings. Represents McGowen PTA Board.

Responsible for annual and monthly budget. Also, files all taxes and insurance.

Oversees membership drive and serves as an aid to the President.

Oversees PTA fundraising activities. Also responsible for Spirit Night, Box Top Program and Boosterthon.

Oversees PTA programs for students/parents, such as Art Reflections, Garden Clean Up, Red Ribbon Week and Healthy Lifestyles (Walk to School Day).
